As <a title=\"GNS3\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gns3.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">GNS3<\/a> is to Cisco routers, this box will be to OS&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vmware.com\/products\/esxi\/\" target=\"_blank\">ESXi<\/a> on it at the moment with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.netgear.com\/Products\/Storage.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">ReadyNAS<\/a> NFS fileshare set up as a datastore in addition to the internal disk.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to nice corporate discounts, i was able to get this spec for a good price;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HP Compaq dc5800 SFF<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 processor<\/li>\n<li>8GB RAM<\/li>\n<li>160GB SATA-2 10K rpm HDD<\/li>\n<li>Intel PRO dual port gig-eth network card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PS: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rationalsurvivability.com\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rational Survivability<\/a> is a good blog for people interested in Virtualisation and Security<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: Something to be aware of.
